What is Non-Dualism? The human mind sees, hears, tastes, and feels a world of duality. The mind just naturally has this understanding that there is “me” and there is the “world”. This is the notion of duality. We are born with this philosophy. It is not something any of us need to be taught. It is so obvious to us that to even mention it seems almost silly. Yet there is a different view held by mystics. The mystic tells us that “everything is One”. This mystical view is called the philosophy of “non-dualism”. That philosophy states that the concept of “me” and then a separate “world” is not correct. It says that the world of duality that we see is in fact not “real”. The “real”, being that which never changes, is the world of “Oneness”. This philosophy of non-dualism is obviously at odds with our daily experience. But the mystic insists that though our experience is one of dualism, that dualism only "seems real". To be like the mystic and have this experience at one and the same time of both The Seeming Duality of the world, and also The Oneness that is real, is to be Self-realized, to be a Mystic. And the mystic claims that each of us is capable of this Self-realization, of knowing this truth that is already within us, indeed IS our true nature. In this experience is said to be complete cessation of all desire and a total feeling of contentment and bliss. The Non-Dualism Project is aimed at helping more and more spiritual people become non-dualists—that is to become mystics—so that they can touch The Oneness directly. Once so Awakened a person continues to see the world of duality but also experiences directly the unity of all things. This experience of Oneness is perhaps best described as being: EXISTENCE ABSOLUTE, KNOWLEDGE ABSOLUTE, BLISS ABSOLUTE. Purpose of the Project Our ultimate goal is to raise the consciousness of humankind. To do this we need to seed as many countries as possible with Self-realized individuals who will themselves in turn aid others in becoming Mystics, and so on and so on. Eventually, and it need not be many generations, a critical mass will be reached that will cause a profound change in human consciousness. At that time people will look back amazed that our current non-awakened state ever existed. The Process Each of us has a role to play. To put it personally, YOU have a internal spiritual drive to become a Mystic for your own joyful self-completion AND you have a strong noble wish to help mankind. The Non-Dualism Project offers you the opportunity to do both by becoming a pioneer in "viral mysticism". The Future I am initiating the process by helping you become a Mystic. At that point you will no longer need me or any other teacher, guide or guru as you will know the Truth directly. And soon the Project itself will not need me because you and others in turn will assist Seekers to become Mystics. We hope that very soon the critical mass will be reached and the Project, with your help, will have achieved its noble and glorious purpose.
